Sometimes archiving the Lulz is serious business.

This is why we need to save ED

If ever there was one compelling reason to save ED, this is it:

We are poor

The lulz are expensive, as are servers, ISP hosting, accountants and an army of lawyers. Please donate to ED to keep the lulz alive!

Hello! I have now added the ability for everyone to upload an avatar for the blog. Oh yay. Go to your user settings and edit the profile.

Let me remind you all of the other methods you have of keeping in touch with us:

  1. irc.encyclopediadramatica.com/encyclopediadramatica – IRC chat is a fast, useful way of getting up-to-the-moment coordination and information. If you’re an active editor, doing something non-trivial, get on irc fgt. This prevents misunderstandings like the rollback button, the block user button, and the carpet-the-user’s-talkpage-and-inbox-in-goreporn button.
  2. http://list.encyclopediadramatica.com – Mailman mailing list. This list is mainly for stuff directly related to the wiki. OT posting may be tolerated, but if a thread goes over a certain arbitrary threshold (there is actually a formula, but unless you know how much caffeine I’ve had, how long since I’ve gotten laid, and how my relationship with my girlfriend is going, you won’t have the important variables) then everyone who contributed tends to get banned. This has included sysops in the past. Bans to the list tend not to be retracted, ever.
  3. http://encyclopediadramatica.com/TJC – The Thizzlehat Junction Centre. This is largely a discussion page on-wiki. This page will be phased out over time due to archiving issues and because we think that this blog is going to be more suited to that sort of thing.
  4. http://encyclopediadramatica.com/ED:Map – ED Map. This is only really useful if you have a burning need to be the victim of an aggravated sexual assault. If you would like to commit an aggravated sexual assault, the Map is unlikely to be useful. This is due to the fact that 90% of our editors appear to be 16/m/basement and covered in pizza grease. Honestly, meeting people you know from the internet is likely to be a bad idea in general.

Don’t, in general, email Sysops or Bureaucrats with requests. If you have a request, put it to the mailing list (item 2.) Note that all legal complaints and threats must be directed only to legal@encyclopediadramatica.com.

I honestly have no idea how long this blog was hacked for. Coulda been months, nobody would have noticed.

Anyway, we’re (probably means I’m) actually going to start posting here again, to give the userbase and interested parties an idea of what’s going on with policy, current events and related topics.

As you should all know by now, the wiki is upgraded and fully operational. Lots of new web 2.0 rubbish – if that’s what you’re into. I suppose it’s good to make it as easy as possible for people to link to our content etc as possible – read these links before doing so, though.

Oh what merry pranksters you are, userbase. Keep on keeping on.

Be advised that the page load stats specialpages are not operational due to high resource usage. This has also been implemented by inferior wikis running this variant of MW, which is a classic case of SNAFU. Always good to see what they’ll fuck up with next version.

Apparently we were super haxed by some Turkish 5th graders. The blog has been upgraded and I even added a new wordpress theme. All previous user accounts have been deleted, so if you’d like to comment, you’ll need to make another account.
